Annual hike and exploration competition

Aura of nature ’22 annual hike and exploration competition were organized by the Youwn Gaweshika School Organization . It was the 35th annual exploration competition organized by the YGSO. Held on 14.01.2023 at Dunumadalawa forest reserve.

• 2nd runner’s up :- St. Sylvester’s college – Team B

Girls

• champions :- viharamahadevi girls’ college
• runner’s up :-Pushpadana Girls’ college
• 2nd runner’s up :- Mahamaya Girls’ college

Field visit

We went on a field visit to udawattakale forest on 20th june 2023. Udawaththakale forest is a biodiversity hotspot with enthralling forest.

Lectures

We conducted lectures to improve the knowledge of our members regarding the field of reptiles, birds, amphibians, butterflies and other insects, flora, fish and mammals to allowed understand the diversity of nature the importance of environmental knowledge
